Hapser (Grapper in Danish)

This thingy was made as a present to my two nephews, at the time 3 and 6yo.
I was at the time looking into a potential project of building an affordable prosthetic hand and thought this could be a nice test of some techniques.

The name “Hapser” was the intuitive label that the 3yo gave them straight away, when I presented them.

In the end I wouldn’t recommend this gripper design for any practical purposes but it sure worked as a toy

Function Demonstration – Was designed for smaller hands so I can’t quite fit in there

Design Progression – I had no idea where I was going and I designed parts to be prototyped progressively so the overall process is a bit cluttered
